GLOBSEC Bratislava Global Security Forum

The 7th annual Bratislava Global Security Forum GLOBSEC 2012 will introduce new formats of parallel events. It will encompass not only the Forum itself, but a package of several parallel side events, all held at the occasion and under the joint umbrella of GLOBSEC 2012:

THE FORUM - The two and a half day conference will traditionally consist of eight main discussion panels, seven Night Owl Sessions, a number of focused break-out dinner sessions and several informal networking receptions, held in the premises of Kempinski Hotel River Park Bratislava.

The YOUNG ATLANTICIST SUMMIT will be organized together with the Atlantic Council in parallel to the GLOBSEC Forum. Bringing together young future leaders with the most potential from NATO and partner countries, this meeting will be part of Youth NATO Simulations that will culminate at the 2012 NATO Summit in Chicago.

GLOBSEC DINNER will commemorate the 10th Anniversary of the 2002 NATO Prague Summit and the invitation of seven Central- and Eastern-European countries to NATO, which was a major step towards "Europe Whole and Free". As a new joint initiative of the Slovak Atlantic Commission and the Czech Jagello 2000 Association, a new annual Czech and Slovak Transatlantic Awards will be granted at this gala dinner to personalities, who significantly contributed to the strengthening of transatlantic ties, security, peace, prosperity and overall stability of the Euro-Atlantic area, with special emphasis on their bond to the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the Central European region.

CORRIDOR DIPLOMACY & SIDE MEETINGS - Organized one month before the NATO Summit in Chicago, GLOBSEC 2012 is ideally positioned to create the right platform for informal debates and meetings of attending political leaders. We expect the participation of several Foreign and Defence Ministers, as well as Heads of States and Governments, from Central and Eastern Europe and beyond.
