Dmitry V. Suslov

Deputy Director for Research, Council on Foreign and Defence Policy, Moscow

Dmitry V. Suslov (born 1979) performs as a Deputy Director for Research at the Council on Foreign and Defence Policy and as a Deputy Director for Studies at the Centre for Comprehensive European and International Studies. In both organizations he conducts research on various issues of world politics and international relations. He also acts as a regular consultant of the Russian government institutions and business enterprises on the US-Russia relations.

Mr Suslov is the author of the monthly analytical reports distributed among key Russian governmental institutions, business enterprises and decision-makers.

Mr Suslov teaches courses on the US Domestic and Foreign Policy, World Politics, Global Governance and the Russia-EU Relations.

Before joining the Council, Mr Suslov worked as a Foreign Affairs Staff Writer for Nezavisimaya Gazeta (The Independent Newspaper). Performing as a journalist, he published about 300 reports, commentaries, and surveys on various issues of world affairs.

Dmitry Suslov graduated from Saint-Petersburg State University, School of International Relations, and Institute of the USA and Canada, Russian Academy of Sciences.
