MEDIA CENTRE

For the convenience of the accredited journalists, our GLOBSEC Media Centre will be at disposal on the premises of the Grand Hotel River Park Bratislava. The following equipment will be available for your use in the GLOBSEC Media Centre:

Listening area and livestreaming of the conference

Working tables

Internet Connection (wireless Internet connection will be provided on the premises of the Grand Hotel and the Media Centre)

Limited number of access points for cameras and audio signals (upon request)

Headphones for interpretation

Please note that the Media Centre will NOT provide any personal computers, telephones, tablets or any other devices or accessories.

 

ACCESS AREAS FOR MEDIA 

Please note that media representatives do not have access to some areas of the Grand Hotel, especially into the main conference room (Maria Theresia Ballroom), which is primarily reserved for speakers and other participants due to capacity reasons. During its eleven-year-long history, GLOBSEC has become a platform that is traditionally attracting a high number of participants. Naturally, this creates increased pressure on the capacity of the conference.

Therefore, for the comfort of all media representatives, the GLOBSEC Media Centre and additional listening areas and live streaming at the Grand Hotel, including cafeterias, restaurants and lobby, will be at disposal.

PHOTOGRAPHS AND VIDEO

Photo shooting of the main conference programme will be permitted only 10 minutes before the start of the panel/session/debate and in times organisers assigned for these purposes. Please note that media interested in photo/video shooting in the Main Conference Room before the following sessions/panels/debates are requested to meet 15 minutes before the panel at the Media Registration and Information Desk. They will be accompanied by the organisers from the Media Team to the Main Conference Room and then, immediately after the start of the session, requested to leave the room.

The panels will be specified shortly.

 

INTERVIEWS AND REPORTAGES

You will be informed in advance about the time and place of your interviews arranged according to your preferences. Our Media Team will assist you with the coordination of your pre-arranged interviews directly on the ground.

The meeting point for all journalists before the interviews is the Media Registration and Information Desk. Please make sure to come to the meeting point 10 minutes before your scheduled interview. A member of the Media Team will be waiting for you and will accompany you to the speaker/guest.

 

ACCOMMODATION

In case you have booked accommodation in one of our partner hotels, please note that accommodated guests are fully responsible for fees related to the cancellation of their accommodation or no-show. Please note that the organisers are not responsible for the check

-in and check-out policy of the partner hotels, therefore cannot guarantee neither early check-in nor late check-out. For guests accommodated in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, we will provide regular shuttle service between the hotel and the venue of the Forum.

 

BMW SHUTTLE SERVICE 

If you have requested so via personalised registration form, you will have the chance to use the local shuttle service provided by organisers. This will be arranged for the duration of the Forum, and will be provided by BMW Group Slovakia. Please note that you may be accompanied by other Forum guests in one car.

Arrival: BMW shuttle service includes transport from Vienna airport, Bratislava airport, or from the train and coach station in Bratislava to the hotel you will be accommodated in on the day of your arrival. Our colleagues will be waiting for you at the airport arrivals terminal, train or coach station with a GLOBSEC logo and will accompany you to your GLOBSEC-branded BMW.

Departure: BMW shuttle service also includes transport from the Grand Hotel River Park to Vienna airport, Bratislava airport, or to the train and coach station in Bratislava. Guests accommodated in other hotels than Grand Hotel River Park, venue of the GLOBSEC Forum, are advised to use shuttle bus service in order to arrive to Grand Hotel on time for their departure. Upon your arrival to the Grand Hotel, GLOBSEC staff at the BMW Shuttle Service Desk will accompany you to your car.

 

SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE

For guests accommodated in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, we will provide regular shuttle bus service between the hotel and the venue of the Forum. The shuttle bus timetable will be available at the hotel reception, in the conference app as well as at www.globsec.org.

FREE PUBLIC TRANSPORT

All GLOBSEC participants will have free access to public transport in Bratislava during the conference. From Friday 15 April to Sunday 17 April, your conference badge will be valid as a ticket on all buses, trams and trolleybuses in the city.

 

GLOBSEC MOBILE APPLICATION

In order to preserve the nature, we have decided to go green this year. Therefore, instead of the Forum Brochure, all participants will have the possibility to download the GLOBSEC 2016 mobile application powered by SpotMe. The app will allow you to view the detailed programme as well as the list of confirmed speakers, share your feedback, send messages to other participants, exchange electronic business cards and much more. You will be able to download the GLOBSEC app via our upcoming email invitation as well as at the Registration Desk in the Grand Hotel upon your arrival to GLOBSEC.

 

GLOBSEC CITY TALKS

Again this year, all GLOBSEC participants are more than welcome to participate in GLOBSEC City Talks, a unique format that will take place on 15 and 16 April in the L+S Studio. More information about the City Talks is available at www.globsec.org.   

 

FOOD AND BEVERAGES

The organisers will host a number of coffee breaks in between the panel discussions. A permanent coffee station will be at your disposal in the Media Centre and the lobby of the Grand Hotel for the whole duration of the Forum. Lunches will be served on Saturday 16 April and Sunday 17 April, in River Bank Restaurant on the ground floor. You can find more information in your conference package. In addition, you are more than welcome to enjoy the hospitality of the Lobby Lounge Restaurant located in the lobby of the Grand Hotel. Please note that the hotel will charge you directly for any meals and beverage not mentioned above, as in the case of any other extra services.
