Dirk Schuebel

Head of Division for Bilateral Relations with the Eastern Partnership Countries

Dirk Schuebel is a German national whose current responsibilities see him head up the Eastern Partnership Bilateral division of the European External Action Service. Mr Schuebel has previously held various positions within the European Commission, the European External Action Service and the German Foreign Ministry going back to 1992. In his time at the European institutions he has served as Head of the Delegation to the Republic of Moldova following a diplomatic posting as Head of the Political and Press Section at the Delegation to Ukraine and Belarus. He has also worked at the Commission's DG Energy and Transport, DG Enlargement and DG Trade. Earlier in Mr Schuebel's career at the German Foreign Ministry he specialised in foreign trade and foreign trade promotion.
