Dr. Ferenc Suba is a leading cybersecurity expert, whose experience uniquely combines strategy building and implementation with regulation, international representation, awareness raising and CERT operations. Serving as Vice-Chairman of the Management Board of the European Network and Information Security Agency since 2004, he helped to establish global and European cybersecurity information exchange platforms and has been engaged in CERT capacity building in South- and South-East Europe as well as Africa. In Hungary, he legislated the e-Commerce Act, created the Hungarian IT Security Framework, built up and managed CERT-Hungary, drafted the National Cybersecurity Strategy and helped its implementation as senior cybersecurity advisor at the Prime Minister’s Office. His primary focus now is energy cybersecurity and works as a consultant for the International Atomic Energy Agency. An attorney-at-law admitted to the bar in Hungary, Dr. Suba also holds an M.A. degree in history and English literature from Heidelberg University, Germany and speaks five foreign languages.
