Olivier Landour

Director for Europe,North America and Multilateral Affairs

Mr Olivier Landour was born in 1972. He’s a graduate of the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po) and of the Ecole Nationale d'Administration (ENA, National School of Public Administration, class “Cyrano de Bergerac”, 1997-1999). Appointed as a Senior Civil Officer (administrateur civil) in the French Ministry of Defence, his first posting was in the Legal department as the head of the International Law Section from 1999 to 2003. Moving from the Defence Ministry, his following assignment was in NATO, as a national expert in the International Secretariat, and then as Advisor to the Permanent Representative of France in the North Atlantic Council (2004-2007). From 2007, after returning to Paris, he became Director for Studies and Foresight in the Human Resources Department of the Ministry of Defence (DRH-MD) and then in 2010 as Director for Social Relations, Statutes and Sectors. In 2012, he returned to the Defence’s Legal department as Director for International and European law. In 2015, he joined the Directorate General for International Relations and Strategy of the Ministry of Defence as Director for Europe, North America and Multilateral Affairs. Mr. Landour is also a former auditor of the Institut des Hautes Etudes de la Défense Nationale (IHEDN, from 2008 to 2009).
