Yoji Muto

State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan

Mr. Yoji Muto is the State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan from October 2015. He is a Japanese politician of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), a member of the House of Representatives in the National Diet. A native of Gifu, and graduate of Keio University. Prior to entering politics, he worked at Fuji Photo Film Co. Ltd. in 1978-1988, and then at Mutouka Shoji from 1988. He was CEO of Mutouka Shoji from 1996. Mr. Muto was elected to the House of Representatives for the first time in 2005 and re-elected for the third term in 2014. From December 2014 to September 2015, He was the Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications.
