Energy Security and Sustainability (ESS) Programme

Research Associate (1 July – 31 October 2020)

GLOBSEC is a Bratislava based NGO with global reach, transatlantic scope and regional focus. Traditionally a defense/security themed organization, this has begun to change in recent years with increased attention and resources devoted to climate and energy topics. In 2018, a sustainability stream was added to GLOBSEC Forum, the flagship event that annually draws an array of high-level international speakers unrivaled in the region. Tatra Summit, which has evolved into a leading platform for high-level economic policy dialogue, launched the Energy Transition Task Force in 2019 and increasingly brings Central and Eastern European (CEE) green investment and growth into focus. In the spring of 2020, the Energy Security and Sustainability (ESS) programme was established under the GLOBSEC Policy Institute (GPI). The symbiotic loop feed between research, publications, stakeholder engagement and event platforms truly make GLOBSEC an impact-oriented think and do tank.
