We would like to invite you on behalf of the Slovak Atlantic Commission for the discussion with H.E. Alex Petriashvili, State Minister of Georgia for European and the Euro-Atlantic Integration.
The panel is scheduled within the program of the working visit of State Minister Petriashvili in Slovakia and will take place on January 20, 2014 (Monday), at 1:45 pm at the premises of the Slovak Atlantic Commission on 14 Klariska Street in Bratislava. State Minister Petriashvili will open the discussion with a short address titled: „Reality Check: Georgia in 2014 at crossroads again.“
The debate will be conducted in English without interpreting.
Georgia is undergoing a series of significant changes both within its internal politics and its intensifying relations with the EU and NATO. At the last Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius, Lithuania, last November Georgia has initiated the process leading to signing and ratifying the Association Agreements (AA) and the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) agreement. Georgia now expects uneasy task to continue in implementation of the legislature needed for the AA and DCFTA . Situation in Georgia is complicated by the on going pressure by its northern neighbor – which is focused practically against almost all countries, which belong to the EU Eastern Partnership group – from Ukraine to Moldova.
Due to space limitations we would like to kindly ask you to confirm your presence by 17 January, 2014, via e-mail at [email protected] or via phone 00421/2 54410609.
