9 September, 2015 – 14:00 to 15:30
CEPI, Klariská 14, 811 03, Bratislava, Slovakia

On 27 August 2015, Vienna hosted the Western Balkans Summit with a number of heads of EU and Balkan countries governments. It was a continuation of the so-called ‘Berlin process’ initiated in August 2014 by German Chancellor Angela Merkel to sustain political commitment to the future EU enlargement as well as to regional dimension of economic and infrastructure development in South Eastern Europe. To discuss outcomes of the Vienna summit, including its Civil Society Forum, follow-up and potential synergies with the EU Enlargement process in 2016 (also during the Slovak EU Presidency), CEPI in cooperation with the European Fund for the Balkans will host informal policy briefing with:

Johann Sattler, Head of Unit, Western Balkans Affairs, Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Austria;

Roman Hlobeň, Director, South-Eastern Europe and Turkey Department, Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic;

Milan Nič, Managing Director, Central European Policy Institute (CEPI), Bratislava, the Slovak Republic;

Igor Bandović, Senior Programme Manager, European Fund for the Balkans, Belgrade, Serbia.

Discussion will be held in English. Attendance at this event is by invitation only.
