The Bratislava Global Security Forum, taking place in Slovakia from May 14–16, 2014, was dominated by the evolving crisis across the border with Ukraine. A select number of other topics also featured prominently on the agenda, such as the NATO summit in September, the future of Afghanistan, the prospects for Visegrad Group and Central European cooperation, security and privacy in the cyberworld, the rise of populism in European elections, and the future of the EU. In addition, GLOBSEC’s smaller, informal fora brought insights and recommendations on a host of other themes, which can be found in the full report from the conference, which you can read here.
