GLOBSEC is determined to support the process of modernization of Ukrainian statehood
As the largest independent think-tank in Central Europe, based in proximity to Ukrainian, we are uniquely positioned to spearhead such an effort. To accomplish this objective, we are establishing a Ukraine Support Council, which will be led by blue-chip professionals, champions of diplomacy, and business leaders.
The key task of our Council is to provide tailored made advice in the form of sets of studies and pilot projects. The Council will be structured with two task-force groups that will work elevate Ukraine.The first task force will focus on supporting Ukraine's EU membership and will look at the issues of fast accession strategy, promoting the case for immediate enlargement and the capacity building for adopting acquis communautaire.
The second task force will focus on supporting economic freedom and SMEs/innovation development in Ukraine. Specifically, it will identify groups that work on economic freedom legislation and help them in concert with a coalition of stakeholders to liberalize the national business legislation to accelerate SMEs/innovation development both on the national and local levels.
