On April 22, CEPI associate fellow Balázs Jarábik took part in a panel discussion held at the Wilson Centre where he discussed security, political, and economic impact of Ukrainian developments on Belarus – particularly the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

During his trip to Washington, D.C., he also briefed some of the Washington’s top journalists and think-tankers at a roundtable hosted by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace where he is a visiting scholar.

He spoke on the Ukraine’s crisis of confidence and internal political trends, Russia’s long-term strategy in the region, and the role of the EU and the West to provide local opinion-makers with a first-hand insight and explain Central European view on the issue.

Balázs Jarábik regularly comments on the situation in Ukraine and Belarus. To read his recent article on Russia and its behaviour in the region, click here.
