Former senior defence ministry official Jaroslav Naď has recently joined the Central European Policy Institute where he will be covering security and defence issues as a senior fellow. He will also work in the leadership of its sister organisation, the Slovak Atlantic Commission. Previously, he worked as Head of Defence Section at the Permanent Delegation of the Slovak Republic to NATO after serving as Director General of the Defence Policy, International Relations and Legislation Section at the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic. Before joining the Ministry a decade ago, Jaroslav Naď was active in the non-governmental organisations Slovak Foreign Policy Association and Euro-Atlantic Center. He holds a MA degree in Political Science from the Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia. He is a graduate of the Program on Advance Security Studies at The George C. Marshall Center for Security Studies in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Germany. Jaroslav is a PhD candidate at the Armed Forces Academy in Liptovský Mikuláš, Slovakia. He fluently speaks English and German and also understands Russian and French. We are happy to have Jaroslav on board
