In a new edition of Judy Dempsey’s weekly blog Strategic Europe, CEPI’s Associate Fellow Balázs Jarábik commented on the prospects of Russian escalation in Ukraine and beyond. According to Jarábik, “although Russian escalation in Ukraine’s eastern Donbas region is real, it is incremental.” Instead of exaggerating Russian threat, Jarábik urges Central and Eastern European elites “to work on ensuring the resilience, cohesion, and capacity of key institutions at home and at the transatlantic level.”
