The Atlantic Treaty Association (ATA) – in collaboration with NATO Public Diplomacy Division, and the Atlantic Council of Turkey – will host Youth Ministerial Meeting (YMM) alongside NATO Foreign Ministers Meeting in Antalya, from Monday 11th to Thursday 14th May 2015.
The Slovak Atlantic Commission (SAC is a member of the SC) has also delegated a team member to the organisational team of YMM and is actively involved in the meeting preparations. In addition, Róbert Vass, Executive Vice-President and CEO of the Central European Strategy Council (SC) was invited to speak at the panel discussion: “What this Ministerial Meeting Means for NATO” along with Mr. Michael Turner, President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and Mr. Ted Whiteside, Acting Assistant Secretary General at the Public Diplomacy Division NATO. “We are proud to be a part of this fantastic project, I believe that investment in young generation will benefit us in the long term and I am looking forward to receiving all news on the YMM”, said Róbert Vass. The YMM will gather 40 young professionals, aged 25-35, who will engage in a series of panel discussions and policy workshops with political and military leaders. The YMM will serve as an essential link between NATO and young professionals working in security and defence. It will provide greater transparency of the Ministerial Meeting and foster a better understanding of the Alliance’s objectives and missions among young citizens and online communities in NATO member and partner countries.
