The Slovak Atlantic Commission (SAC) has significantly strengthened its international activities and partnerships. Recently, SAC was a partner of U.S.-Central European Strategy Forum which took place on 1 October, 2015 in Washington, D.C. The Forum was organized by the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA), a public policy research institute dedicated to the study of Central and Eastern Europe.

On the side-lines of the Forum, SAC co-organized a break-out session focusing on the upcoming NATO Summit in Warsaw and its agenda. This session was arranged in a framework of several run-up events to the NATO Warsaw Summit with key security experts where the agenda and expected Summit outcomes are discussed. These run-up events will take place during well-established events. In the upcoming week, SAC and its partners will organize a similar session during the Riga Conference focusing on NATO Open Door Policy. Other run-up events will take place during Château Béla Central European Strategic Forum in December 2015 and GLOBSEC Forum in April 2016 where policy recommendations for official representatives will be presented.

Furthermore, SAC in cooperation with CEPA and its Polish partner, the Polish Institute of International Affairs, will organize an accompanying expert conference to the NATO Warsaw Summit in July 2016. “It’s a great pleasure to organize such an important conference along with our Polish and US partners. I firmly believe we will create an extensive platform for discussing Summit decisions with broader expert community”, said Róbert Vass, Executive Vice-President and CEO of the Central European Strategy Council. NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg, has accepted to be the Honorary Patron of the conference.
