Iuliia Osmolovska

Head of the GLOBSEC Kyiv Office

She is a career diplomat with 15 years of diplomatic service at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine with particular focus on EU integration and European security. Her other work for the governmental sector of Ukraine includes working for the Office of the President of Ukraine and assessing reforms in the field of international economic and European integration, as well as with the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, channeling the communication between the government and expert community/civil society with regard to reforms in Ukraine.

In her career Iuliia had also been doing a professional consultancy and training in negotiations, both for political and commercial clients, as well as working extensively in think-tank area, being in charge of the Eastern Europe Security Institute and sitting at the Civil Council of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. Her past experience also includes an advisory role to the Ukrainian state company “Ukrspecexport”, where she advised the top management on cooperation with NATO member-states.

Iuliia’s area of expertise includes geopolitics, geoeconomics, international relations, negotiations and diplomacy, foreign policy of Ukraine, foreign economic policy, EU integration, European security and defense policy, regional integration processes, Eastern Partnership and EU-UA Association Agreement

Iuliia is a recognized media expert on international relations, diplomacy and Russian-Ukrainian conflict. She appears regularly on TV and radio channels in Ukraine and internationally.

She holds a Master of Philosophy in European Studies from the University of Cambridge (UK), Master in Foreign Policy from the Diplomatic Academy (Ukraine), Master of International Management from Kyiv State Economic University. Before the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2014, Iuliia also studied Psychology and Mediation of Negotiations at St-Petersburg State University.
