Vladislava Gubalova, PhD., is a Research Fellow with the Future of Europe Programme at the GLOBSEC Policy Institute (GPI). The program stimulates discussion on the re-shaping of the European Union and seeks solutions of current challenges in the Union. Vladislava’s broad interests include European Union Politics, with emphasis on distributive politics, digital transformation and effects of migration. In addition, she explores the collaborative mechanisms of non- governmental organizations and the following consequences. Her current research encompasses a wide array of topics from single market and the eurozone to encouraging democratic participation in the EU. Vladislava’s previous professional engagements include lecturing, researching and mentoring at various universities in the United States. She is an active participant in expert international conferences and a member of several professional academic associations. Vladislava obtained her PhD in Political Science from the Southern Illinois University, USA and holds a Master degree in International Affairs and Administration from Missouri State University, USA. She speaks fluent English, Bulgarian and Russian and has knowledge of Slovak and Spanish language.
