Zoriana Mishchuk

Senior Research Fellow at Ukraine and Eastern Europe Programme

Zoriana Mishchuk is a Senior Fellow at the GLOBSEC Ukraine and Eastern Europe Programme.

She has around 20 years of professional experience in organizational/project management and policy analysis and advocacy gained in various sectors – from the Ukrainian government and parliament to civil society organizations and think-tanks and from international projects and consultancies to donor organizations. Thematically, Zoriana’s work focused on the European integration of Ukraine, comparison of policy reforms in Eastern Partnership countries, public participation and good governance, environmental policy and sustainable development and related topics.

Ms. Mishchuk has a strong knowledge of Ukraine’s policy-making process and institutional environment in the field of European integration. She took an active part in the establishment of the EU-Ukraine Civil Society Platform under the EU-UA Association Agreement in 2015 and served as its Co-Chair in 2017. Prior to that, she was also a member of the Steering Committee of the Ukrainian National Platform of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum. She was also among the founders of the Association Exchange Forum, an annual gathering of responsible officials and experts in European integration from Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine and their EU counterparts.

Zoriana holds BAs in economics and political science from the National University of Kyiv Mohyla Academy and an MA in International Relations and European Studies from the Central European University, Budapest.
