Dr. Ronen Bergman is a senior political and military analyst for Yedioth Aharonoth, Israel’s largest circulated daily newspaper and a contributing writer for the New York Times Magazine– writing extensively on Middle Eastern security, military and intelligence affairs – and is internationally recognized as one of the world’s leading experts in his field.

Dr. Bergman has been published in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Foreign Affairs, Newsweek, The Times, Guardian, Der Spiegel, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, and GQ Magazine. In addition, he is frequently interviewed by major US broadcasting and cable networks, the BBC, and Al-Jazeera.

An author of five best selling Hebrew language non-fiction books, Dr. Bergman covers topics that range from government corruption to Israeli wars and its POWs and MIAs to the Iranian nuclear project and Mossad activities. A translation of his third book, The Secret War with Iran, was published in the United States by Simon & Schuster, appeared in the Boston Globe’s “Recommended Reading List” for the summer of 2009 and was described by The Economist as “an enthralling read”.

Dr. Bergman is currently working on his sixth book, provisionally titled The Mossad and the Art of Assassination, published by Random House.

Dr. Bergman frequently lectures to academic and military audiences, as well as to the general public. He has been a guest lecturer at academic forums at major universities and institutions in Israel and abroad. He is a regular co-anchor of a daytime news and current affairs magazine on Israeli TV.

Dr. Bergman received a PhD with distinction in History and International Relations from Cambridge University and graduated cum laude from Haifa University Law School.  Dr. Bergman is also a member of the Israeli Bar.
