Sabariah Mohamed Hussin is a Research Analyst at the International Centre for Political Violence and Terrorism Research at the S.Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS) in Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. A specialist in CVE, she works with government authorities including the military, law enforcement and national security agencies to build their capacities to counter terrorism, extremism and radicalisation. She is a member of the Secretariat of the Religious Rehabilitation Group responsible for rehabilitating detained terrorists and radicalized individuals and their families through counseling. In addition to engaging the public to counter extremism and promote moderation, RRG counters misinterpretations promoted by self-radicalized individuals and those in support of IS or other terrorist organizations. At MENDAKI, the Council for the development of the Malay/Muslims community in Singapore, she developed and implemented intervention programmes for community developments over 10 years. She works extensively with partners and stakeholders to empower the community through excellence in education and self-development initiatives. She lives in Singapore.
