Are you interested in EU Foreign Policy and studying the concept and consequences of multispeed Europe?
Then join us in March for “What EU Foreign Policy Do We Want?: Differentiated Cooperation in Action Part #2”, a roundtable discussion that forms part of DIFF GOV: European Governance: Potential of Differentiated Cooperation, a GLOBSEC projected supported by the Jean Monnet Activities of the EU Programme Erasmus+.
What’s It About?
The aim of the roundtable is to foster dialogue between academia, civil society and policymakers that 1) enhances the EU governance and 2) contributes to discussions on differentiated integration in Europe.
Why Now?
EU foreign policy remains one of the least advanced ‘common’ policies. Nevertheless, it would be wrong to write off European-level activities in the sphere of international relations. So, what obstacles currently stand in the way of a more cohesive EU foreign policy? How can Central and Eastern Europe states do more to shape the EU’s global agenda?
Talking Points
- Europe as a Global Player (including the European Neighbourhood Policy).
- EU Foreign Policy Tool Kit (including differentiated Integration in the EU Foreign Policy – What does it mean and in which areas is it possible?).
- EU Foreign Policy in the Eyes of Central Europe.
Your Role
We are looking for speakers from academia, government, think tanks and NGOs who have a track record and experience in analysing EU foreign policy. You will be asked to give a 15 minute presentation on a topic and make an active participation during the whole event. Your presentation will also be uploaded onto our project page (some examples from previous event). We will cover travel and accommodation (one night) only for selected speakers.

Core requirements:
- EU citizen
- Willing to travel to Bratislava
- Relevant work experience on EU Foreign Policy
- Currently employed by a think tank, NGO, government or academic department located in one of the EU Member States.
