Alliance for Healthy Infosphere: Feedback to European Commission’s proposed set of Digital Principles

Alliance for Healthy Infosphere has taken part in another consultation process initiated by the European Commission, this time on the formulation of European digital principles. The Alliance, which currently comprises of 16 institutions, welcomes the step of defining and implementing core European digital ideals, especially as they relate to individual rights and freedoms.

The Alliance has also contributed to the roadmap feedback on the proposed set of digital principles, stressing that democratic societies need to be underpinned by healthy online information environment and that this environment should not be European only, but ideally, Transatlantic as formulated in the Transatlantic Principles for a Healthy Online Information Space.
