For a third year, GLOBSEC Trends 2018 Central Europe: One Region, Different Perspectives brings a unique insight into the Central European people’s minds, covering the Visegrad Four countries of Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia. More than 20 years after the fall of communism and more than a decade after the accession to the EU and NATO, the meaning of democracy appears to be still contested in the young Central European democracies.

How do the Central Europeans perceive the fall of the communism? How is the membership in NATO seen by the public? What image does Russia have in the region? Are the CEE citizens prone to believe in conspiracy theories?
