GLOBSEC Trends 2019: Austrians support the EU but believe Brussels “dictates” them

For a fourth year, GLOBSEC Trends 2019: Central and Eastern Europe 30 years after the fall of the Iron Curtain brings a unique insight into the Central and Eastern European people’s minds, covering seven Central and Eastern European countries Austria, Bulgaria, Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovakia.  

What are the key findings for Austria? What underlines the Austrians’ strong support for the EU membership? How come there is a relatively strong belief in the narratives of Brussels and Franco-German dictate?
