We had the pleasure to witness an insightful expert discussion offering nuanced European and Japanese perspectives on the role of emerging technologies in military operations,  as well as defence and security strategies more generally. The speakers included:

  • Bonji Ohara, Senior Fellow, The Sasakawa Peace Foundation
  • Colonel Masahiro Shizu, Chief Director, Innovation Driving Office for Emerging Technology, Japan Air Self Defense Force (Air Staff Office)

The discussion was moderated by Roger Hilton, Security & Defense Fellow at GLOBSEC Policy Institute.
