Andrei Galbur

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration in the cabinet of Moldava

Andrei Galbur is a Moldovan diplomat who currently serves as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration in the Cabinet led by Prime Minister Pavel Filip. Mr Galbur graduated from International Free University of Moldova, Faculty of Law. Later in 1998 he continued his studies in Vienna Diplomatic Academy.

During his rich diplomatic career, he has undertaken various diplomatic positions. From 1995 to 1997 he was appointed as Attaché at Directorate General for Europe and North America (DGEAN), promoted to the Second Secretary in 1997. From 2000 to 2004 he served as the first Secretary at the Embassy of Moldova to the Republic of Austria, also as a Deputy Resident Representative to the International organizations in Vienna. During 2004-2005 He was a head of the General Directorate for International Security. For the period of 2005-2007 and 2010-2013, he was a head of the Department for Multilateral Cooperation. Starting in 2007, Mr Galbur held the position of the Minister-Counselor in the Embassy of Moldova to the United States. In 2013 he became an Ambassador of Moldova to the Russian Federation. He served as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, later became Deputy Prime-Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
