Lukáš Parízek

STATE SECRETARY, MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AND EUROPEAN AFFAIRS OF THE SLOVAK REPUBLIC, BRATISLAVA

Mr. Lukáš Parízek was appointed as the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic in March 2016. He earned his degree in International Relations at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations in Russian Federation. After graduation, he conducted the internship at the Transnational Threats Department at the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Secretariat in Vienna, Austria. From 2013 to 2015 he worked at the Defense Policy Department at the Ministry of Defense of the Slovak Republic. Before his appointment Mr. Parízek worked at the Department of Communication and International Cooperation at the Slovak Innovation and Energy Agency.

In his capacity as the State Secretary, Mr. Parízek is responsible for areas of security policy, economic diplomacy, development assistance, international organizations and the non-EU European territories, as well as Africa, Asia and Pacific, and Americas. Mr. Parízek speaks English, Russian and German.
