Peter Pellegrini

Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic, Bratislava

Peter Pellegrini has served as Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic since March 2018.

Between 2016 and 2018, he served as a Deputy Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic for Investments and Informatization.

Prior to these assignments, H. E. Peter Pellegrini was assigned the post of Speaker of the National Council of the Slovak Republic in 2015-2016, Minister of Education, Science, Research and Sport in 2014-2015, as well as State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance in 2012-2014.

Prime Minister Pellegrini began his career in 2002 at the National Council of the Slovak Republic as an Assistant to a Member of the Parliament. In 2006-2010 H. E. Peter Pellegrini held the position of Member of the National Council of the Slovak Republic, the Committee on Economic Affairs as well as the Mandate and Immunity Committee.

He became Digital Champion and Ambassador for the Digital Single Market in 2012. From the same year, he was Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the National Nuclear Fund until 2014.
