9:05 – 10:00 Panel discussion: EU's Comprehensive Approach to Tackling Cancer:  EU Mission of Cancer as effective tool and part of the EU Beating Cancer Plan, the role of the European Parliament and current state of implementation from the perspective of member states

This panel discussion will address current main challenges, funding opportunities, projects of the EU Mission on Cancer as well as main initiatives within the EU Beating Cancer Plan. It will also examine the role of the European Parliament, focusing on outcomes and recommendations from the Special Committee on Beating Cancer (BECA) and how it can foster collaboration among stakeholders. Additionally, EU member states will update on their progress in implementing the Cancer Plan and network for cancer care centers.
