23.09.2020 - Muslim Brotherhood Activities in The Czech Republic, Poland and Serbia
Wednesday, 23rd of September 2020
14:00 - 15:30 CEST / 8:00 am – 9:30 am ET
GLOBSEC and The Counter Extremism Project (CEP) invite you to a webinar launching the second report on the Muslim Brotherhood’s activities in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) focused on three case studies.
During the past 30 years since the end of the communist regime and the opening of borders, Islamic groups in CEE were able to connect to the outside world and set up organizational structures, usually centred on student communities. Some have become part of institutions linked to the Muslim Brotherhood such as the Federation of Islamic Organizations in Europe (FIOE) or the Forum of European Muslim Youth and Student Organizations (FEMYSO).
Supported by The Counter Extremism Project (CEP), GLOBSEC has begun mapping the Brotherhood’s efforts in a selection of countries in the region. After publishing the first report which outlined the methodology developed this mapping exercise, during this webinar we would like to present the second report, outlining the research conducted in the Czech Republic, Poland and Serbia.
