Whereas the last almost two years of the pandemic catalyzed the negative effects of information manipulation on society, it also accelerated the search for solutions. Both the private and public sectors, as well as civil society actors, began testing and implementing measures that would help societies to curb the challenge of the century. While there is clearly no “silver bullet” solution to limit the spread and impact of manipulative content on society, some measures have proven more effective. What are the measures with greater success potential for democracies? How do we know what works? What can the private, the public and the civic sector do individually and in tandem?
